How It Works
How to use Remove Background
1. Add your image
Upload a JPG, JPEG, PNG or WebP image. The tool allows up to 10 files per batch. Start with one image so you can inspect the result before processing a larger set.
2. Choose the background
Set Background to Transparent, White or Black, then choose Output Format. Use PNG or WebP if you need transparency. Edge Smoothing is also available.
3. Remove the background
Click Remove Background. When processing finishes, inspect the subject outline, including hair, handles and gaps between objects. Compare the result with your original.
4. Download and inspect the file
Download the result and open it in the application where you plan to use it. For a transparent cutout, place it over a contrasting background and check for missing edges or leftover areas.

Limits to know
Choose PNG or WebP for transparency
For a transparent cutout, choose Transparent in Background and PNG or WebP in Output Format. JPG cannot preserve transparency; a transparent background becomes white when exported as JPG.
Common questions
Convert it to JPG, PNG or WebP first. HEIC is not one of this tool’s accepted input formats.
Yes. You can add up to 10 files. Review each cutout before using the batch.
Some viewers display transparency on a white canvas. Check the file over a colored background before assuming removal failed. Also check that the saved format supports transparency; converting a transparent result to JPEG adds a solid background.
