How It Works
Check the input size
Add up to 10 JPG, JPEG, PNG or WebP images. Each file must be 20 MB or smaller and contain no more than 2 million pixels. If an image exceeds the pixel limit, reduce its dimensions before uploading it.
Check width × height as well as file size. For example, a 1000 × 1500 image contains 1.5 million pixels; a small file in megabytes can still have too many pixels.
Upscale and inspect the result
Use Scale to choose 2 or 4, then review the credit charge and click Upscale. Read the scale limitation below before relying on either setting. When the result is ready, use Download, or Download All for a batch.
Open the PNG at the size you’ll use it. Look closely at faces, small lettering and edges, and check the file’s width and height. Keep the original if the enlarged version changes a detail you need.
Scale and transparency limits
The Scale choice doesn’t consistently determine the final dimensions. A 2 selection can still produce a 4x result, and some processing paths shrink the input before enlarging it. Use the saved image’s dimensions when you need an exact size.
Don’t rely on upscaling to preserve a transparent background. PNG and WebP inputs can become opaque, even though the download is a PNG.
Questions about Upscale Image
Not reliably. Treat the added detail as generated content, especially around faces and text. Compare it with the original before using it where accuracy matters.
Inspect the output at the size you plan to print, focusing on faces, lettering, and sharp edges. More pixels alone do not guarantee more faithful detail. For an important print, check a small test print before ordering the final size.
