DeepL (DeepL SE, Cologne, Germany) is widely regarded as the highest-quality machine translator available. Upload a document or paste text, select your language pair, and get translations that read naturally. DeepL's neural network excels at capturing context, idioms, and tone — particularly for European languages. Document translation preserves basic formatting for PDF, DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, TXT, and HTML files.

Translation accuracy was the best in our test for European language pairs. EN→DE and EN→FR translations read naturally with correct idiom handling and appropriate formality levels. The model correctly handled legal terminology in our contract tests and maintained consistent technical vocabulary across 40-page API docs.

Format preservation was good but not perfect.
